Most Reverend Rodolfo F. Beltran D.D.
Bishop Beltran was born on November 13, 1948 in Gattaran, Cagayan. He finished his elementary schooling at the Gattaran Central School in 1960. Then he enrolled at St. Catherine’s Academy where he graduated in 1964. He spent his seminary life at San Jacinto Seminary in Tuguegarao from 1964 to 1967. He finished his philosophical studies at the Immaculate Conception Major Seminary in Vigan, Ilocos Sur in 1970 and took his theological studies at University of Santo Tomas Central Seminary.
Bishop Rudy was ordained deacon on the Solemnity of the Blessed Virgin Mary on August 15, 1974 and was raised to the order of Presbyters on the Solemnity of the Annunciation on March 25, 1976. His first priestly assignment was that of Parochial Vicar of Sts. Peter and Paul Cathedral, Tuguegarao City from 1976 to 1977. He became the Prefect of Discipline at San Jacinto Seminary for two years. From 1981 to 1985 he was the dean of studies of San Pablo Major Seminary in Baguio City. After his fourth year, he pursued his post graduate studies at the Angelicum University in Rome where he graduated with Degree of Licentiate in Philosophy and Doctorate in Philosophy, Major in Philosophy in 1990. Upon his return, he became the rector of San Pablo Major Seminary from 1990 to 1997. From 1997 to 2005 he resumed his parish and diocesan work in his Archdiocese as parish priest and Episcopal Vicar. Msgr. Rudy has been serving as Pastor of St. Peter Thelmo Parish in Aparri, Cagayan and one of the General Vicars of the Archdiocese of Tuguegarao. He was ordained Bishop on May 16, 2006 in Tuguegarao City. Today, he is the Shepherd of the faithful of Apostolic Vicariate of Bontoc-Lagawe guided by his motto: Ad Omnes Frater (A Brother to All)
